A look back at CFIA 2026

Since its debut in 1997, the CFIA, France’s trade fair for the agri-food industry, has become a fixture on the European industry calendar. The latest edition, held from 10 to 12 March 2026, set new standards – for us personally as well.

The organisers of CFIA describe their trade fair as “the liveliest event in the food industry”. This promise was certainly fulfilled by a varied and imaginative supporting programme. The nearly 24,000 visitors were treated to a number of highlights, including special Innovation Tours, the newly created Trends Area, and the presentation of the coveted Innovation Award. The trade fair’s continued success is a testament to the growing importance of our industry.

Good ideas need space

Further evidence of this positive trend: with around 50,000 square metres of exhibition space, this year’s CFIA offered plenty of room for innovation, exchange and networking. With our well-attended stand in Hall 6, we were able to play our part in making the trade fair an insightful event, together with our new family member CSS Belts.

The conclusion drawn by our sales partner for western France, Gwendal Leblay, is correspondingly positive: “Märtens and the CFIA have been an ideal match for years. The strong interest in our food processing solutions is also reflected in the many visitors to our stand.”

Patrice Wicker, the sales partner responsible for eastern France, is looking forward to a busy period following the trade fair: “Over the coming weeks and months, we will be holding a number of in-depth discussions with new and existing customers whom we were able to meet here at the CFIA.”

Our team would like to thank everyone for a very successful trade fair with many pleasant encounters and, looking forward to the next edition, says: “À bientôt”!
