CSS Belts strengthens the Märtens family

CSS Draht Schmidt GmbH from Lahnstein - CSS Belts for short - has been part of the Märtens family since 1 September 2025 and is therefore represented under the umbrella of Metall-Chemie Holding. Together, we offer our customers an even wider range of products and combine our expertise in the field of conveyor belts.

Future-orientated further development

Innovation and progress have always taken centre stage at Märtens. With the merger with CSS Belts, we are consistently continuing along this path: Our
customers now benefit from an expanded product portfolio that now includes the following solutions in addition to the familiar Märtens products:

About CSS Belts

CSS Draht Schmidt GmbH was founded in 1861 and can look back on more than 160 years of company history. As a specialist for metal conveyor belts, CSS Belts has established itself in various industrial sectors - especially where robust and reliable belt solutions are required.

Strong together

The merger of the two long-established companies creates valuable synergies - in areas such as purchasing, administration and logistics. For our customers, this means an expanded product range, new application possibilities and even more expertise from a single source.

Bernhard Funke will continue to manage the new company structure and will be responsible for CSS Belts as well as Märtens. The usual local contacts will of course remain in place and will be supported by additional colleagues from both companies.

What belongs together will also grow together visually: the CSS Belts logo will be adapted to the Märtens design so that the connection is also visible to the outside world.
