Change from ECO to ELT:

Longer service life, easy installation

Economical solution for standard applications or robust variant with additional individual meshes? The decision for the right conveyor belt is not always clear-cut - but our colleagues are always happy to help with their expertise.

This was also the experience of one of our British customers, a well-known manufacturer of baked goods. He used our ECO rod network belts for the production of crumpets, a traditional yeast pastry from Great Britain. Over time, however, he became dissatisfied with the short service life, as several factors within the system were causing the belts to break prematurely. In consultation with our Area Sales Manager England, Tony Gibson, the changeover to the ELT was planned and implemented. With this system, additional short individual meshes provide further nodes and thus increased stability. In addition, belt changes can be carried out much more quickly. On average, splicing times can be reduced by up to 80 %.

It just keeps going and going and going...

The maintenance team leader was delighted: "We had very good communication with Tony and Märtens throughout the entire process. After the necessary conversion work within the conveyor system, the belt could be pulled in and spliced endlessly without any problems. Compared to the ECO, it offers considerably more strength and is easy to splice - it has greatly reduced our downtime." And the fitters involved also have nothing but positive things to say: "The belt can now be fitted much more quickly and easily using the simplest of tools."
