When the detail makes the difference. Pinpoint product support, exact positioning and reliable fixing: these are the properties that characterise our rod network belts with points. What sets them apart are their differentiated designs, which are tailored to the specialised needs of our customers.

In the past, a major US producer of pretzel biscuits was confronted with recurring failures in its production plant: The two-metre wide rod network belt with points used in the draining section showed the first signs of material fatigue after just six months in use. The high chemical stress caused by the caustic solution led to rapid embrittlement of the material originally used and thus to premature belt failure.

After detailed analyses, we recommended switching to our K2390 material system, which was specially developed for use in highly alkaline media. K2390 offers significantly improved chemical resistance to alkalis as well as increased mechanical stability under thermal and chemical stress.

The result is impressive: the service life of the belt has been increased to 24 months thanks to the new material. In addition to the longer service life, there is an additional economic benefit for the operator: the longer replacement intervals reduce machine downtimes, minimise maintenance costs and lower ongoing operating costs.

Our rod network belts with points are differentiated and optimised for different areas of application - so everyone can find the right solution for their production line.

Our spring steel wire is used, for example, in a chocolate enrobing machine and wherever there are no special requirements in terms of corrosion resistance. In the fish and meat industry, where corrosion is undesirable under normal conditions, our stainless steel wire is the right choice. If particularly high demands are placed on corrosion resistance - e.g. with aggressive cleaning agents, fruit acid or lye - our material innovation K2390 can realise its full potential.
