With or without gear wheel edges?

Tips on ECO rod network belts

A gear wheel edge stabilises the rod network belts. However, it is a hindrance with the endless connection - is it possible to switch? We answer this question in the following article.

Our ECO rod network belts are a practical and cost-effective solution for many applications. These belts are characterised by precise, maintenance-free belt tracking and small deflection radii, meaning that even the smallest products can be transported. Conveyor belts made of bar mesh are also particularly hygienic and therefore ideal for foodstuffs.

TOP features at a glance:

  • Thin, flexible and lightweight belt construction
  • Permeable and hygienic
  • Forcibly guided
  • Small deflection radii
  • Economical solution for standard applications
  • Stainless steel design approved for foodstuffs in accordance with Regulation EC 1935/2004

Changeover: ECO with gear wheel edge to ECO without gear wheel edge

We manufacture our rod network belts with and without gear wheel edges. This is a small mesh that reinforces the belt in the side area and stabilises the conveyor belt.

However, these reinforcing meshes are not always necessary and can even be a nuisance with endless splicing. In some cases, it is therefore advisable to switch to a rod network belt without gear wheel edges. This simplifies and speeds up the splice considerably.
