Decarbonisation with brains
The installation of our PV system in 2022 was a big step in the right direction. It covers around 1,800m2 of our roof surfaces and has a total output of around 300 kW. Thanks to the good weather, we were able to celebrate our first climate-neutral day after just a few months in June, as our electricity requirements were covered entirely by self-generated energy from our PV system.
The results and performance data are also more than impressive in other respects. In total, we generated 254 MWh of emission-free energy and achieved a self-sufficiency rate of 70%. This enabled us to save a whopping 102 tonnes of climate-damagingCO2 - a great success and an incentive for us! "Our big goal is, of course, climate neutrality. We have already achieved a lot, but there is still a long way to go. We are currently planning more charging points for electric vehicles at our car parks," reports Bernhard Funke.
