Further training for our first aiders

Whether in the office, in the workshop or outside in the car park: accidents happen even with the greatest care. This makes it all the more important that first aid is administered quickly.

Occupational safety has always played an important role at Märtens in Flensburg - and not just in the production area. In November, ten of our colleagues therefore refreshed their knowledge of first aid and are now on hand at all times as company first aiders. From treating minor wounds to the recovery position and resuscitation: a wealth of knowledge was taught over the course of a Saturday and applied directly in practical exercises. This also includes legal basics, such as documenting an accident in the first aid book.

Bernhard Funke explains: "As a company, we are of course obliged to take measures in the event of an emergency. We fulfil this obligation with our trained first aiders and first aid kits. But we also want our customers, business partners and our team to feel safe at all times. Knowing that competent help is on hand in an emergency is very reassuring."

Our first aiders attend a first aid course every year. In this way, we ensure that they always have the latest knowledge and what they have learnt is repeated regularly.

In the event of an emergency, our building in Flensburg is also equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED), which can be used for resuscitation in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. The majority of our team members have been trained to use it.

We would like to thank all our colleagues for their commitment!
