K2390 for biscuit production

A material that combines the best properties of spring steel and stainless steel - that is our innovation K2390. The following practical example shows how advantageous its use is in the food industry.

The K2390 material developed by Märtens combines the positive properties of spring steel and stainless steel in one product. In other words: K2390 is durable, robust and corrosion-resistant. This allows our customers to optimise their production without compromise and benefit from greater economy and efficiency.

Food approval for K2390

This was also the experience of one of our customers, a leading biscuit manufacturer from northern Germany. They had previously used rod network belts made from durable spring steel for their production. This required a risk analysis of the process during auditing, which would not be necessary if stainless steel was used.

We recommended the use of rod network belts made of K2390, as these comply with Regulation EC 1935/2004 and are approved for foodstuffs. The risk analysis is therefore no longer necessary and at the same time the new conveyor belts are just as durable as spring steel.

K2390: For longer service lives and demanding production processes

Our K2390 has already won over many customers. When using citric acid, for example, conveyor belts made from K2390 can significantly extend service life. Find out more in these practical examples:
