Silicone moulding belts from Märtens
Square or round, heart-shaped or with a wavy edge: thanks to our silicone mould belts, your products will take on almost any shape imaginable. Liquid masses, such as chocolate, jelly or caramel, are brought into the customer-specific shape thanks to the silicone moulding belt and then harden. At the belt's deflection point, they are easily demoulded again and fed into further processes. This is possible thanks to the excellent non-stick properties of the silicone used, as can be seen in our video: In a series of tests with the Baker Perkins company, the moulding of pectin-based jelly products was carried out in our silicone moulding belt - with excellent results.
The silicone moulding belt is used in the confectionery or pharmaceutical industry, but our silicone moulding belt is also ideally suited for freeze-drying fruit masses or for deep-freeze applications.
We also manufacture conveyor belts with corrugated edges. The advantage of these silicone moulded belts is that the corrugated edge on the sides allows for smaller deflection diameters than with straight side profiles.
Another plus point: the side profiles – whether conveyor belt with corrugated edge or straight – are manufactured from a single mould with the belt surface. This means that there are no gaps or openings in which material could accumulate, which could potentially cause hygiene problems.
